अल्मोड़ा के फड़-फेरी वालों के लिए गुड न्यूज, जल्द बनने जा रहा है ‘वेंडर जोन’

अल्मोड़ा में फड़ और फेरी लगाने वाले व्यवसायियों के लिए राहत की खबर है. जल्द ही शहर में अब उनके लिए वेंडर जोन बनने जा रहा है. अल्मोड़ा नगर पालिका ने तीन साल पहले वेंडर जोन बनाने के लिए शासन को पत्र भेजे थे. अब इसके लिए मंजूरी मिल गई है. वेंडर जोन के निर्माण के लिए 43.57 लाख रुपये की धनराशि मंजूर की गई है.
अल्मोड़ा नगर पालिका में 84 फड़-फेरी व्यवसायी पंजीकृत हैं, जो धूप, बारिश और बर्फबारी में खुले आसमान के नीचे फड़ लगाते हैं या फिर फेरी लगाकर अपने परिवार का भरण-पोषण करते हैं. ऐसे में उन्हें कई कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता है.
पालिकाध्यक्ष प्रकाश चंद्र जोशी ने बताया कि काफी लंबे समय से वेंडर जोन बनाने के लिए वह प्रयासरत थे. शासन को इसका प्रस्ताव भेजा था, अब जाकर स्वीकृति मिली है. पालिकाध्यक्ष ने कहा कि वह काफी खुश हैं. जो फड़ व्यवसायी धूप, बारिश और बर्फ में फड़ लगाकर काम करते थे, अब वे लोग एक छत के नीचे व्यापार कर सकेंगे. उन्होंने बताया कि शासन को करीब 66 लाख रुपये का प्रस्ताव भेजा था, लेकिन 43.57 लाख रुपये की मंजूरी मिली है.
फड़ संगठन के अध्यक्ष नवीन चंद आर्य ने पालिका की इस पहल का स्वागत करते हुए पालिकाध्यक्ष को धन्यवाद दिया है, लेकिन उन्होंने इस फैसले से नाखुशी भी जाहिर की है. उन्होंने कहा कि जिस जगह को वेंडर जोन बनाने के लिए चिन्हित किया गया है, वहां ग्राहक नहीं आते हैं, जिससे फड़ व्यवसायियों को काफी दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ेगा.
